Discovery: Y7, S4, W3
Already halfway through the session, Discoverers are starting to look ahead to plan for this session’s exhibition and to meet session-long goals.
Inside the Studio
This session in Writers’ Workshop, Discoverers are writing research reports on heroes of environmentalism and the outdoors.. This week, they dove into the research for their second research report, which they will be writing on an outdoor adventurer. This session, Discoverers have also gotten back into their Civilization studies. Older Discoverers are joining Explorers to discuss modern history, and younger Discoverers are creating maps of continents as they listen to folktales from countries within that continent.
Outside the Studio
Flag football drills and Run Club continued strong this week. Discoverers who are working on their Field Badges, the Geologist Badge and the Climber Badge, are getting close to finishing. Those who finish their badge challenges with excellence by week 5 will earn a climbing expedition during week 6!
