A Week of Wonder: Work, Weather, and Indigenous Wisdom
Opening Session 3, Sparks showed growing confidence as they explored new works in the studio and returned to challenging familiar ones with renewed focus. Their perseverance and excitement for learning were evident as they practiced new skills, followed multi-step processes, and discovered moments of mastery.
Outdoors, learners fully embraced the colder weather—observing changes in the garden, noticing seasonal shifts, and finding fresh inspiration in nature’s colors and textures.
Sparks also began discovering the Indigenous People of North America, focusing on their deep relationship with the land. Sparks showed curiosity and respect as they explored how Indigenous communities lived, created, gathered, and cared for the environment with intention and balance. These conversations helped learners reflect on their own experiences in nature and what it means to be thoughtful stewards of the earth.
