Discovery Year 7. Session 5. Week 5.

Session 5 is over! Discoverers spent the week putting final touches on their work, reflection on the session, and planning for the next.

Exhibition

This week, Discoverers wrapped up their session with the Discovery Garden Exhibition. After sharing their published bedtime stories, they guided their guests through session works, including their Quest challenges, garden beds, and experiments. Learners also showed their parents what it was like to engage in the deep Civilization discussions and challenges or be immersed in the folktales of European countries.

Quest

Discoverers worked hard to get plants in the ground this week. After ensuring that gardens were well prepared last week, Discoverers started the work of planting and maintaining their gardens. Because the products of this Quest will keep growing, Discoverers will develop a plan to maintain their gardens and to ensure a good harvest soon.

Studio Life

The last week of the session involves so much reflection, intentionality, and gratitude. Learners started this process by spending time completing 360 reviews for their Fellow Travelers. They provided feedback on how their Fellow Travelers practiced the contract line, “I promise not to distract myself or others.” Another tradition at the end of the session is to write thank you notes to people who have provided support to Discoverers throughout the session, and the learners jumped into this part of their week with excitement and gratitude.

Thanks for a great Session 5, Discoverers! We look forward to seeing your gardens grow through the rest of the year.
