This week, Peak learners continued building their time management toolkit. Each learner researched different time management tools or practices, then presented their findings to the group. Together, they decided which tools to focus on for the next one to two weeks: the Pomodoro Method and Eat the Frog. As they practice each tool, learners will see how it supports them and learn when to reach for it.
During Work Cycles, learners used the Pomodoro Method: 25 minutes of focused work followed by a 5-minute break, repeated through the cycle. Breaks looked different each time. During breaks, the learners played gaga ball, planned their businesses for CBF, or took a quiet moment to themselves. One learned reflected feeling more energized and coming back to work with a more positive mindset after breaks.
Learners also went deeper into planning proposals for their year-long projects, deep dives into a topic they are curious about or may keep leaning into as a calling. They settled on their topics, researched to decide which parts to focus on, and started shaping what they will do over the year.
In Genre, learners went back in time to connect with heroes through history. They began stepping into the shoes of a hero they chose, to write a speech in that hero’s voice for their time and place in history.
The week ended with a workout at the park and a Work Cycle off campus. Learners earned this by staying on track with their goals through the weekly accountability system they created last session.
