This week, the learners in Peak closed out their first session of the year with a final push to finish their goals. They submitted their Heroes Essays for Genre, wrapping up weeks of writing and revision, and carried their work across the finish line.
Learners also prepared the studio for Showcase. They thought carefully about their guests’ experience, considering how visitors would move through the space to see their work and then settle in to watch their presentations. After hosting their own Showcase, Peak learners stepped into a different role and supported the Explore Studio with theirs. Having years of Showcase experience from their time in Explore, they joined the audience, asked great questions, and offered thoughtful feedback.
The session ended with an off-campus work day at a local cafe, a walk around the pond, and lunch outside on the grass. Back on campus, learners joined the Explore Studio for game time and finished the day with a campus dance party.
